| ALL FIGHTERS All fighters shall supply their own Protective Equipment for their fight. Promoter Will Always Provide IKF Approved Fight Gloves. Each fighters personal safety equipment (Mouth Piece, Cup (Groin Cup Men, Pelvic Protector for Women), Headgear etc.) must be approved by the IKF Event Representative prior to the bout. The IKF event Referee will also confirm the equipment is acceptable once both fighters are in the ring. |

These items shall be inspected at the WEIGH-INS and AGAIN inspected prior to the fight to assure that the proper equipment will be used. If a fighter does not have ALL of the necessary protective equipment at the weigh-ins, he/she will have up to 1 hour to provide the IKF with the proof of IKF Approved Equipment. If he/she cannot provide proof of equipment by end of weigh-ins, he/she will be disqualified from fighting and will be issued a TECHNICAL FORFEIT.
EQUIPMENT DETAILS
HANDWRAPS
MANDATORY: Handwraps shall not exceed the following restrictions:
- One winding of surgeon’s adhesive tape, not over one and one-half inches wide, placed directly on the hand to protect that part of the hand near the wrist.
- Said tape may cross the back of the hand twice but shall not extend within one inch of the knuckles when hand is clenched to make a fist.
- Contestants shall use soft surgical bandage not over two inches wide, held in place by not more than two yards of surgeons adhesive tape for each hand.
- One 10 yard roll of bandage shall complete the wrappings for each hand.
- Bandages shall be adjusted in the dressing room and signed off by the IKF official representative or state athletic commission representative prior to putting on the gloves
- Contestant, if requested, may witnessing the wrapping of his/her opponent’s hand.
- Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES shall there be ANY tape on the Front side of the knuckles!
- DO NOT WET your handwraps after being wrapped.
As An Option: “CLOTH” Handwraps are acceptable as handwraps for an AMATEUR event.
All PRO bouts must use tape & Gauze only.
HEADGEAR
- Headgear is Required For ALL AMATEUR Fighters.
- Must be IKF Approved. (It is the Fighters Choice whether to use the type with a cheek protector or not. Some say the cheek protectors block their vision. If so, than we suggest the type without cheek protectors. Again, this is the fighters choice, but it still must be IKF Approved)
- May not be the type used for sparring with a Solid Jaw Protector.
- May not protect the front area of the jaw.
- No Headgear shall be worn in any Pro Bout.
MOUTHPIECE
- A Mouth Piece is MANDATORY for every fighter. The mouth piece must be formed well enough so that it will stay in the mouth when the mouth is opened.

SHIN PADS
- Shin Pads
- Full Contact Rules (FCR): For SAFETY Reasons, Shin Pads Are MANDATORY for all Full Contact Rules Bouts, amateur & Pro.
- MuayThai & International Rules (MTR & IR):
- Pro Bouts: ONLY allowed in Full Contact Rules Pro Bouts.
- Amateur Bouts: Are *Not Mandatory but may be used.
- (*) Shin Guards are MANDATOR for all amateur bouts in FLORIDA.
AND For SAFETY Reasons they are MANDATOR in all IKF “AMATEUR TOURNAMENT” competitions.
